Brewhouse
A twin stream, fully automated lauter tun brewhouse producing 14 brews per day as unique batches. Care was taken in design of the plant to ensure that there would be no requirement to recycle either weak wort or trub to achieve target yields and volumes. The brew length is nominally 250 Hectolitres and wort extending sugars are available for higher strength brews. Each line incorporates it's own cereal cooker allowing rice or maize to be included in the dry goods recipe.
Brewstream line 2 is particularly suited to lager production with special features such as enclosed run-off, bottom entry mash transfer and low level recirculation, minimising air pickup and ensuring very pale worts if required.
Final vessel stages are combined kettle whirlpools giving vigorious boiling and up to 10% per hour evaporation controlled to lower levels if required.
Yeast is pitched in-line to fermentation and several unique yeast strains can be accommodated in the fully automated pitching and storage room.
